Mexico Tour 2025 – Musa Itinerante

We are embarking on a musical journey through Mexico with our program “Amor y Canto. From the Renaissance to Romanticism – Chopin and Moniuszko.” Together with Julieta González-Springer, we present songs that reveal the many shades of human emotions – from the lyrical French airs de cour, through Spanish and Polish Renaissance and early Baroque compositions, to the romantic vocal miniatures of Chopin and Moniuszko.

Concert Venues in Mexico

With the support of the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, we are honored to perform at distinguished festivals and institutions:

  • Fundación Antonio Haghenbeck

  • Festival de Música Antigua de Tepotzotlán

  • XXXIII Festival Internacional del Órgano Barroco

  • Fundación Elena Poniatowska A.C.

Program – Amor y Canto

Early Europe

  • France: airs de cour by Étienne Moulinié and other 17th-century composers.

  • Spain: lute and vocal works by Renaissance and early Baroque masters such as Luis de Milán and Alonso Mudarra.

  • Poland: psalms and songs of the 16th–17th centuries (Mikołaj Gomółka, Cyprian Bazylik) – sacred music that conveys both spiritual depth and the intimacy of prayer.

Polish Romanticism

  • Fryderyk Chopin and Stanisław Moniuszko: Smutna rzeka, Poseł, Kum i Kuma, Życzenie and other vocal miniatures, where melancholy, joy and poetic simplicity intertwine.
